Perkasie Borough Emergency Management Agency (PBEMA) Perkasie EMA is comprised primarily of members of the various public safety disciplines (Perkasie EMA, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) liaison, Chief of Perkasie Fire Department, Chief of Perkasie Police Department), as well, as designated elected officials of Perkasie Borough, and liaisons from Perkasie Public Works, Perkasie Borough Authority, Pennridge School District, Local Clergy and Local Commercial representatives. Primary Operatives of Perkasie EMA are the Emergency Management Coordinator who is appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and his or her designated Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. Together, this group makes up our Perkasie Borough Emergency Management Planning Committee who meets as needed but a minimum of quarterly to review current emergency management needs with Perkasie Borough. The Office of Emergency Management was established October 15, 2007 by action of the Perkasie Borough Council under Ordinance #922 - Chapter 10: Emergency and Disaster Management.
